Australian University Championships
Club Champs August 3- 5 and AUC's 31st Aug to 5th Sept
With the snow falling thicker and earlier than usual its time to brush off the winter drinking hats and start thinking about AUC's! (To all of you who haven't heard of AUC's, it's Australian University Championships, and it's the snow sports version of national uni games!) Every year we show the rest of the universities how to ski hard and party harder however can’t do this with out you though.
This year we are down in Mt Buller from Sunday 31st August to Friday 5th September. Staying in Mt Buller it’s going to be a week of wild adventures and stories to tell your children. With themed parties every night and all
alcohol at the lodge the possibilities are endless.
This year the events we will be fighting for supremacy in are:
· Snow Board – Half Pipe, Boarder Cross, Slope style,
Parallel Giant Slalom and Rails
· Alpine Skiing – Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G;
· Cross County – Relay and Individual; and
· Freestyle – Moguls, Skier Cross, half pipe, slope style
You don’t have to have experience in competing; it’s about having fun and making some new friends.
What you have to do to be part of this phenomenal event is LET US KNOW. We have club champs from August 3-5 where we go to Thredbo to sort out the racing team and get to know each other. We stay in Jindabyne ski the sat
and Sunday, we supply alcohol at the lodge and some of the meals.
