What is SUBSKI?
Established in 1997, the Sydney University Boarders and Skiers Club or SUBSKI has around 1500 members and provides an incredible social and sporting experience for university students.
How do I join?
By clicking the "JOIN" button at the top of the page & following the instructions, or find our stall at Sydney University Welcome Fest and signup with one of our representatives.
How much is your membership?
An annual $5 membership fee is all that's standing between you and the best experiences of your university career.
Why should I join?
No club on campus is better for getting to meet heaps of awesome people and having fun. With two amazing ski trips & four parties a year you cant go wrong with your Subski subscription.
Do I have to be able to ski/snowbaord to join the club?
No you do not, we host plenty of social events throughout the year for everyone to attend.
How do I sign up to a trip?
A sign up event will be created through our Facebook page, which contains the relevant information to sign up to a trip. Additionally all trips are advertised on our website. Like our Facebook page to stay in the loop as all trip signups, notifications & events will be available there. https://www.facebook.com/subski/
When do New Zealand sign ups occur?
They usually occur around week 5 of the Sydney University Semester (1st to the 7th of April). Like our Facebook page to stay in the loop. https://www.facebook.com/subski/
Do I have to be a USYD student to go on one of your trips?
No, you don’t have to be a USYD student. Our only requirement from you is a hunger for fresh pow, great chat and fun times!
Do I have to be able to ski/snowboard to go on a trip?
While skiing is the main activity, there are plenty of other activities to do at the locations we travel to. Consult the New Zealand or Japan links above. We also provide Beginner Ski Packages for anyone that is new to the slopes or wants to refresh their skills.
Should I dress up to a themed party?
Dressing up in theme is highly encouraged, however not compulsory. Check out our Facebook page or the images on the website to see everyone's attire over the years. https://www.facebook.com/subski/
How many events do SUBSKI hold each year?
Four Parties & Two Ski Trips.
How do I become more involved in SUBSKI?
If you love being an active part of SUBSKI and want to take on some more responsibility in the club - apply for our trip committee positions and/or executive roles! Check out the application tab above for more information.
How do I become a committee member for New Zealand?
Subski is a huge family of venturers and so it only makes sense to say we’re always in need of great leaders who can make our trips and events the best they can be. Every year we’re open to applications for executive or committee positions for those who are keen to prove themselves and take on this responsibility.
How do I become part of the Executive Team?
An AGM is run every year, where the executive team is elected by majority vote. To vote you need to have a valid access number and be a registered member of the club.
